ZAGREB, Sept 13 (Hina) - The United States Navy frigate, USS Elrod, will sail into the southern Adriatic town of Dubrovnik on Wednesday, the United States Embassy in Croatian said in a statement issued on Monday. This as the fifth US
war ship to sail into Dubrovnik since Croatia achieved independence. USS Elrod will stay in the Dubrovnik port for a week and will be opened on Saturday and Sunday afternoon for visitors, the statement read. The US frigate belongs to the Perry class with guided projectiles and is currently deployed in the Mediterranean as a part of an armed formation of Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carriers.
