SARAJEVO, Sept 9 (Hina) - The Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Alija Izetbegovic, on Thursday reiterated his opposition to the eviction of refugees from flats and houses which should be reclaimed by their
pre-war owners. According to the Sarajevo media, during a visit to Tesanj (central Bosnia), Izetbegovic said his government would not "evict refugees from flats". "They will sooner evict me from the BH Presidency than refugees from the flats they are currently occupying. Let the Office of the High Representative do that", Izetbegovic was quoted as saying by the news agency ONASA. Explaining his opposition to the implementation of court decisions, the Bosniak leader said that "the Dayton agreement did not envisage evictions", adding he would have withdrawn his signature had it been so.
