SAMARANCH ARRIVES IN ZAGREB

ZAGREB ZAGREB, Aug 8 (Hina) - The President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Juan Antonio Samaranch, on Sunday afternoon arrived in Zagreb, where he is to attend the official opening of the 2nd World Military Games. Samaranch, who is visiting Croatia for the tenth time, was welcomed at Zagreb airport by the President of the Croatian Olympic Committee (HOO) and an IOC member, Antun Vrdoljak, the President of the International Military Sports Council (CISM), Colonel Gianni Gola, HOO Secretary-General Slavko Podgorelec, and the head of the Institution of the 2nd World Military Games, Lieutenant-General Josip Lucic. Samaranch was accompanied by IOC sports director Gilbert Felli, personal secretary Laura Vidal, and an employee with the IOC administration, Elvira Ramini.
