BJELOLASICA, Aug 28 (Hina) - A working group for drawing up the
ruling Croatian Democratic Union's (HDZ) electoral programme has
successfully completed its work after three days, the group's
coordinator and HDZ Secretary General Drago Krpina told reporters
at the Bjelolasica Olympic Centre on Saturday.
He expressed great satisfaction with the patience, scholarly
approach and participation of all members of the working group on
the drafting of the electoral programme pursuant to decisions of
the HDZ Main Committee.
"I believe we managed to stress all the important political moments
in the draft, which we hold, will influence the voters' attitude
towards the HDZ at the forthcoming parliamentary elections,"
Krpina said.
The draft electoral programme will be submitted to the HDZ
Presidency, and its final version will be adopted at the HDZ Main
Committee.
All parts of the document have been accepted unanimously, which is a
clear sign of unity within the HDZ in all political issues, Krpina
said.
According to him, this unity will enable the HDZ to have a strong and
complex candidacy at the elections for the House of
Representatives.
Regarding suggestions for the electoral headquarters, Krpina said
the task would be dealt with in Zagreb next week.
Asked to specify the basic points of the draft electoral programme,
Krpina said it was based on the affirmation of achieved results, and
its main part would focus on solving economic and social problems
and removing causes for the unsatisfactory efficiency of
institutions of a law-based state.
He added he believed the working group had drawn up a modern draft
electoral programme which will be understandable for all people.
This has been the main HDZ's point since its establishment as a
centrist people's party which related to all strata of the Croatian
society, Krpina said.
