BJELOVAR RE-OPENED BJELOVAR, Aug 30 (Hina) - Several hundred Serb Orthodox believers gathered for a mass on Sunday in a newly-reconstructed Orthodox church of the Holy Trinity in Bjelovar, northern Croatia. The mass was conducted by
Metropolitan Jovan of Zagreb, Ljubljana, and Italy. The last mass served in the church before the war took place in 1991, when the church tower was hit by a cannon shell from the then Yugoslav army barracks in Vojnovic. The Culture Ministry has invested some DM70,000 into the reconstruction works. A minor incident occurred yesterday in the church yard. On the night between Saturday and Sunday, one of the windows at the parish office was broken. Police are investigating the case.(hina) rml
