A letter sent by Yugoslav Foreign Minister Zivadin Jovanovic
protests against the behaviour of KFOR and accuses them of
"tolerating ethnic cleansing" of Serbs and non-Albanian population
in Kosovo.
Jovanovic has demanded "significant changes in the current
behaviour of UN security forces and for the abandonment of sponsor
like relations towards separatist and terrorist organisations,
i.e. the OVK or Albanian forces, but also to disarm terrorists,
expel looting hordes and to return Yugoslav military and police
forces to Kosovo without delay".
Jovanovic accuses US KFOR contingents, stationed in the region
where Ugljare are located, for attempting to cover up the crime
committed.
He stressed that KFOR commanders responded to the incident only
after Yugoslav authorities had demanded and investigation.
