PLOCE HARBOUR-Poljoprivreda PLOCE PORT AND MOSTAR'S ALUMINIUM FACTORY CONTINUE COOPERATION PLOCE, Aug 9 (Hina) - After a several month pause, A Lithuanian commercial ship "Volke" arrived in Croatia's Ploce harbour from Britain's port
of Immingheim Monday. The ship is carrying 5,550 tonnes of petroleum cokes for Mostar's aluminium factory, under the organisation of an international shipping agency, Jadro-Agent. Under an agreement signed between Mostar's factory and the Ploce port, some 230,000 tonnes of goods will be transported to the Bosnia-Herzegovina town via Ploce. This will make the harbour the biggest business partner of Mostar. In the past two years, the Mostar Aluminium Factory exported to Europe and overseas some 120,000 tonnes of baked and raw anodes, and over 50,000 tonnes of primary aluminium and aluminium alloys, worth some DM200 million. The plant is preparing new export jobs, worth about US35 million, and investments into the expansion of anode furnaces.(hina) lml
