A loan for technical assistance will begin to be used soon, the Bank
added.
The granting of this loan represents support to the revival of the
economy, which will help the development of the private sector in
Croatia, the statement said.
The loan will assist the creation of an adequate regulation and
institutional network of public goods and the development of the
money market.
It will also help the modernisation of the business registry system
and of the agency for statistics, while supporting current
privatisation processes of the three largest state banks, the Bank
said.
This loan is the 21st granted by the World Bank to Croatia,
amounting to a total of US$819 million.
