GOVERNMENT PUTS UP COLLATERAL FOR LOAN FOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION

ZAGREB, July 8 (Hina) - The Croatian Government gave collateral to the Croatian Roads Administration for a loan, worth 12 million Swiss francs, A part of money will be used for the reconstruction of the section of the Adriatic road from Smrika to Novi Vinodolski which is in the poorest condition. The Government gave collateral to the biggest firm of war-ravaged Vukovar-Sirmium County - the Zupanja sugar refinery for a loan worth 27 million US dollars. According to Croatian Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa, the sugar refinery received the collateral also because of 8,500 farmers and contract farmers connected with the refinery as well as because of the economic recovery of the county and the town of Zupanja. The Government accepted to instigate a procedure for making a contract with the World Bank on a loan for a project in the public health system. It refers to the $29-million loan and four million

The Government decided to donate houses to 13 one-hundred percent invalids who had sustained injuries in the Homeland War as soldiers.
