PRISTINA, July 30 (Hina) - About 740,000 Kosovo Albanians have returned to the southern Yugoslav province of Kosovo so far, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) reported in Pristina on Friday. Another 40,000 to
50,000 Kosovars are still accommodated outside of Kosovo. The UNHCR also pointed to cases of Kosovars who fled their homes in southern Serbia. Representatives of the Kosovo Force (KFOR) told reporters that several incidents happened during the past 24 hours in Kosovo. Several thousand Albanians staged a protest in Pristina on Friday demanding the release of Albanians detained in Serb prisons.
