SARAJEVO, July 13 (Hina) - The Bosnia-Herzegovina Council of
Ministers on Tuesday concluded progress has been made in
negotiations on the determination of the borderline with Croatia,
council vice president Neven Tomic told reporters in Sarajevo.
He announced the possibility of formulating four annexes to an
already initialled agreement on borders at a meeting members of
Croatia's and Bosnia's central commissions in charge of
determining state borderlines are to hold in Zagreb on Friday.
Tomic did not speak about the possible contents of the annexes.
Bosnian Serb representatives last week demanded changes to the
agreement on the Croatian-Bosnian borderline along the Una river,
near Hrvatska Kostajnica.
They demand that the borderline be set along the middle of the
river, and that a special movement regime, with local border
passes, be set for the area of five kilometres from the borderline
within both countries.
According to Alexandra Stiglmayer, spokeswoman for the Office of
the international High Representative for Bosnia, a meeting was
held on Monday with the border commission's Bosnia Serb members.
She told Hina on Tuesday the talks on the agreement on borders had
been very useful and held in a very positive climate.
Asked about the Bosnian Serbs' earlier demands, Stiglmeyer said
everything related to the borders agreement had been adjusted. The
agreement is expected to be officially approved by the Council of
Ministers, she said.
The maps are still being drawn and will be ready this week, the
spokeswoman said, adding the Council of Ministers will discuss them
next week.
