PRISTINA, July 23 (Hina) - Several thousand persons on Friday gathered for a protest rally in Pristina, demanding from the international community to force the Serbian regime to release thousands of Kosovo Albanians detained in
Serbian prisons. Berat Luzha, the president of the Kosovo Association of Albanian Political Prisoners, said only 166 of thousands of Albanians, believed to be held hostage by Milosevic's regime, had been released over the past several days. The association called on Kosovo citizens to stage protests in all towns until all Albanian prisoners are released. According to Albanian sources, there are at least 5,000 Kosovars in Serbian prisons, whereas the Serbian authorities claim there are only 2,000 Albanian prisoners.(hina) rml
