ZAGREB, July 21 (Hina) - Trade unions of employees of Nama department stores on Wednesday announced they would stage a public protest on Thursday by which they would request the Croatian Government to organise negotiations to achieve
a solution for Nama which would satisfy all interested parties, owners, the administration board, employees, creditors, and Nama suppliers. The trade unions did not accept a proposal of the Croatian Economy Ministry on a possible solution for Nama. They believe that restructuring of Nama into three to four firms would break the chain of Nama department stores. The Nama trade unions announced a protest on July 8, which should have took place at Zagreb's central Ban Jelacic square at noon. The Unions, however, cancelled the protest at the very last moment, after they were informed that the Government would try to find a solution for Nama.(hina) it
