ZAGREB, July 21 (Hina) - The Croatian Helsinki Committee (HHO) on Wednesday condemned the decision which cancelled political interviews on Adriatik Television (ATV), a local TV station in Split, southern Croatia. The HHO believes the
decision to cancel the show 'Censorship interview' by ATV's director and co-owner and a Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) MP, Andjelko Gabric, was an open attempt to prevent any form of criticism towards the ruling party. The decision was made last week following an interview with 'Nacional' weekly editor-in-chief Ivo Pukanic and a former head of the Croatian Intelligence Service (HIS), Miroslav Separovic. This is the second time a show is cancelled on ATV, the first time being in February this year, following an interview with Croatian Social-Liberal Party (HSLS) president Drazen Budisa.
