MATESA OPENS RECONSTRUCTED AIRPORT BUILDING IN ZADAR

ZADAR ZADAR, July 19 (Hina) - Croatian Premier Zlatko Matesa on Monday opened the newly-reconstructed airport building at Zadar airport in Zemunik, outside the town. "The town which four years ago had no water, today does not have a single major infrastructure problem", Matesa said at the opening ceremony. Airport director Katica Pupic-Bakrac said the reconstructed Zadar airport was one of the most modern facilities of its kind, not only in Croatia but in Europe and the world as well. She thanked Matesa for government support in the reconstruction. According to Pupic-Bakrac, the airport building cost more than DM20 million. The Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Communications, Zeljko Luzavec said the rehabilitation of Croatia's air transport was nearing completion.
