ZAGREB, July 14 (Hina) - A Croatian delegation consisting of representatives from the ministries of foreign and interior affairs on Wednesday met in London their British colleagues to discuss the growing number of Croatian citizens
seeking asylum in Great Britain, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement today. The Croatian delegation was led by Assistant Ministers Tonci Stancic and Miljenko Bukovac and Croatia's Ambassador to Great Britain, Andrija Kojakovic. The two sides believe that persons arriving at Heathrow airport and seeking asylum probably do not meet asylum criteria but are leaving their country for economic reasons. The two delegations exchanged information on the problem and agreed on cooperation and concrete measures aimed at putting an end to this way of seeking asylum.(hina) rml
