DUBROVNIK, July 10 (Hina) - Croatian Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic on Saturday signed two programmes on cultural cooperation, with Slovakia and Slovenia. After signing, Slovak Culture Minister Milan Knazko expressed satisfaction with
the three-year programme which, according to Biskupic, is directed towards a future all in Europe aspire to. The programme will give Croatian and Slovak artists the opportunity to showcase their work and achieve fruitful cooperation, Biskupic said. Slovene Culture Minister Jozef Skolc said after the signing the programme will expand cooperation in all fields of culture. He expressed satisfaction with the fact that the Slovene philharmonic has been included in the programme of this year's Dubrovnik Summer Festival, opening tonight. achievements in theatre, music, ballet, and painting, he added.
Earlier today, Biskupic had a joint meeting with the culture
ministers of Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Romania, and Iran. He
suggested making Dubrovnik a world cultural centre, and announced
other ministers of culture would also be invited to visit the port
in southernmost Croatia.
