MOSTAR MOSTAR, June 20 (Hina) - Council of Europe's Secretary-General Daniel Tarschys and the chairman of the Council's Committee of Ministers and Iceland's Foreign Minister, Halldor Asgrimsson, on Sunday opened a Council of Europe
library and radio station for the youth and students from both parts of Mostar, southern Bosnia-Herzegovina. Tarschys said Mostar's Croats and Bosniaks were not cooperating sufficiently, adding the Council of Europe would like to see them restore cooperation and trust, and continue living normally. The two officials said the admission of Bosnia-Herzegovina to the Council of Europe by the end of 1999 would be conditional on progress in the work of joint bodies of authority, the rule of law and respect for human rights, the judiciary and the police and the improvement of the schooling system.(hina) rml
