ZAGREB, June 10 (Hina) - The council of a market race protection agency assessed it can be allowed for Zagreb's daily Vjesnik to merge with the Croatian publisher Hrvatska Tiskara. The council estimated this would strengthen the
position of Vjesnik. The council also advised appropriate measures of supervision which include regular informing before any increase in the price of publishing of all papers, as well as conditions of providing printing services to primarily dailies, such as the Jutarnji list, as it was one of Vjesnik's direct competitors. The council also condoned the merger between Privredna Bank Zagreb d.d. and American Express, and the agency director was supplied with supervisory measures for further possible acquisition of PBZ Amex d.o.o. shares for other companies dealing with card business.(hina) lml jn
