ZAGREB ZAGREB, June 7 (Hina) - Croatia's Association of Independent Radio Stations intends to open a press office in Zagreb, which would produce a joint information programme, the president of the Association, Elvis Morina, told a
press conference on Monday. Morina informed reporters about a study trip of Association representatives to the United States, where they were introduced to the functioning of public radio stations. According to Morina, the Association will try to implement this in Croatia. He said independent radio stations in Croatia lack a joint information programme which would enable citizens to make better decisions about their fate, and added the Association would work towards motivaing citizens to go to the polls. One of the Association's priorities will also be an initiative to amend the Law on Telecommunications. The Association includes seven radio stations - Zagreb's Radio 101, Radio D.J.

Radio D.J. from the northern Adriatic town of Crikvenica, Radio
Donat F.M. from the southern Adriatic town of Zadar, the southern
Adriatic city of Split's Gradska Mreza, the northern Croatian town
of Varazdin's Radio 042, Radio Danube from the eastern Croatian
town of Vukovar, and Radio Maestral from the northern Adriatic town
of Pula.
