PRETORIA, June 16 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on Wednesday attended the inauguration of new South African President Thabo Mvuyelva Mbeki in Pretoria, the capital of the Republic of South Africa. Attending the
inauguration were representatives of 130 countries, including 30 rulers of state, mainly from Africa. Nelson Mandela's successor Mbeki was appointed in parliament on Monday, after his party, the African National Congress, won at a recent parliamentary election. Croatian President Tudjman, who arrived in South Africa on Tuesday, should meet Mbeki on Thursday morning.
