ZAGREB, June 9 (Hina) - Antun Masle, a reporter with the Zagreb-based weekly 'Globus', who escaped from a hospital in Montenegro's capital Podgorica on Monday, arrived in Croatia and is safe, the "Globus" weekly reported on Wednesday.
Masle had been arrested seven weeks ago by the Yugoslav Army and had since then been in a Podgorica prison, facing espionage charges. According to the press, Masle felt sick on Sunday evening and was taken for an examination to the Podgorica Hospital, where he received treatment for an inflamed pancreas. He was then sent to the surgery ward, escorted by a guard and two police officers. On the way to the ward, Masle disappeared and his whereabouts were unknown until today.(hina) jn rml
