ZAGREB, May 25 (Hina) - The Civil Committee for Human Rights (GOLJP) joined many journalists and public figures in their request that a reporter of Croatia's weekly "Globus", Antun Masle, should be released from prison in Yugoslavia
(Serbia/Montenegro). GOLJP issued a statement on Tuesday saying that the prompt completion of the investigation and the release of Antun Masle would not only be useful for the promotion of fundamental human rights and freedoms of the media but it would also be of benefit to the future relations between Croatia and Yugoslavia. Yugoslav military authorities have accused Masle of espionage, and last week prolonged his detention in custody for three more months after he had already spent one month at prison. GOLJP said it would ask Yugoslav authorities to allow its representatives to visit Antun Masle in the Spuz prison in Podgorica, Montenegro.(hina) ms
