Yesterday, an unknown young man attacked Suvar in a Zagreb street
and injured him by hitting him with a pistol on his head.
Suvar believed that the assault was also motivated by fear that his

achieve "surprising results at the election."
Commenting on frequent attacks and threats issued against
politicians, trade union leaders and journalists, Suvar proposed
that all those exposed to "Fascist, pro-Ustashi and rightist
elements" should organise the self-defence and show the strength
and resoluteness in resistance to political barbarism and terror.
Suvar added that "the current regime, if there is no other way for
them to remain in power, might resort to the usage of all means of
repression."
