SPLIT, June 3 (Hina) - Croatian Premier Zlatko Matesa on Thursday opened the newly-constructed Solin - Klis section of the state road Split - Sinj. The motorway Zagreb-Split via Zadar and Sibenik will be completed by the year 2004,
Matesa said, adding the road would be the best possible link between Dalmatia and the Croatian capital. The Government is trying to find the most favourable constructors for the Split-Sibenik and Sibenik-Zadar sections. The US company 'Bechtel' will construct the section Bosiljevo - Sv. Rok. facilitates access to Split, Klis, Sinj and Solin, and it will

with Adriatic countries were progressing well.
The Solin-Klis road has ten viaducts, five modern tunnels, two
overpasses, two underpasses, six transformer stations and a closed
sewerage. The state has invested about US$75.4 million into the
construction works and the road was built by the Split company
'Konstruktor' and Zagreb's 'Hidroelektra'.
The Croatian Power Supply (HEP) and Zagreb-based companies
'Koncar' and 'Dalekovod' provided equipment for the road.
Attending today's ceremony were Transport Minister Zeljko Luzavec,
Reconstruction, Immigration and Development Minister Jure Radic,
Science Minister Milena Zic-Fuchs, parliamentary
representatives, party leaders and business people.
