SARAJEVO, June 1 (Hina) - The Premier of Bosnia's Croat-Muslim
Federation, Edhem Bicakcic, on Tuesday said the signing of a new
Croatian-Bosnian trade agreement was "not urgent" until some other
issues between the two countries were solved.
According to news agency ONASA, Bicakcic made the statement at a
Sarajevo session of the Federation Economic Council chaired by Ejup
Ganic.
Bicakcic believes it is currently more important to solve issues
related to transport connections and border problems.
He was satisfied with the fact that Bosnia now has a customs law
applied on the state level, but assessed tariffs were too low.
Tariffs in Bosnia are three times lower than in Croatia, and the
situation is similar with regard to customs levies for agricultural
products, the federal premier said.
He believes this provides possibilities for various speculations
and makes Bosnia subject to unfair competition based on goods'
dumping prices.
