HELSINKI, June 1 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic who is on a one-day visit to Finland, on Tuesday relayed to Finnish president Martti Ahtisaari, also European Union's special envoy for Kosovo, a message from Croatian
President Franjo Tudjman, with a suggestion on a way to solve the Kosovo crisis. Croatia supports the mediator role of the Finnish President in solving the Kosovo crisis, considering his moral integrity and mediating experience, Granic said in Helsinki on Tuesday. According to him, Croatia's role since the beginning of NATO strikes on Yugoslavia, has been regarded with respect. Granic said Ahtisaari pledged to advocate the freeing of Croatian reporter Antun Masle who was apprehended in April by Yugoslav military authorities in Montenegro.(hina) lml
