At a meeting with political party representatives, Barry confirmed there was a possibility for the elections to be held in November, but also for them to be postponed until the year 2000. In case of a postponement, the municipal elections in the country would most probably take place in the spring of next year, but in any case, they would be separate from general elections which could be expected to take place in the autumn. Barry said a draft electoral law for Bosnia-Herzegovina could be completed by mid-July, and would then be forwarded into parliamentary procedure.
