SARAJEVO, May 20 (Hina) - President of the Bosnian Federation Ivo Andric Luzanski suggested a postponement of municipal elections in Bosnia-Herzegovina, scheduled to take place between this autumn until spring 2000. Luzanski informed
of his suggestion the Mission chief of the Organisation for security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Robert Barry on Thursday. Luzinski's office said in a statement he had said a permanent electoral law which is to be adopted soon, should respect the interests of all three constitutive peoples in Bosnia-Herzegovina and should not endanger their constitutionally guaranteed rights. Barry spoke about the municipal elections with president of the New Croat Initiative (NHI), Kresimir Zubak. The party office said Zubak had suggested the elections take place as soon as possible, but only after a thorough check of lists of voters and the municipal electoral commissions.(hina)
