TIRANA, May 25 (Hina) - After several relatively calm days at the north-eastern Albanian border, Serb forces resumed cannon attacks towards Albania, sources in Tirana reported on Tuesday. The head of the police in the Albanian border
town of Bajram Curria, Selim Zaneli, said 12 shells had hit a settlement in Kamenica on Monday afternoon. The Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe's observers confirmed the information. Most residents of Albanian border villages have been evacuated to inland Albania, due to more frequent attacks by Serb forces. According to Albanian sources in Tirana, the Kosovo Liberation Army achieved a progress in conflicts with Serb forces in Koshara region, in Kosovo. Unofficial sources reported severe clashes between the KLA and Serb forces in the region. At least three members of Serb forces were killed in the fighting.
