SKOPJE, May 19 (Hina) - Nearly 1,000 Kosovo Albanian refugees on Tuesday arrived at the Macedonian border by tractors, horse carriages and on foot. The refugees were taken by buses to a refugee centre south of Skopje. Most of them
said they had been forced by the Serbian military and police forces to leave the village of Slatina, about 30 km north of the Macedonian border. Before they entered Macedonia, the refugees had to leave their vehicles at the border. Humanitarian workers in Macedonia claim that between 5,000 and 6,000 Kosovo Albanians are on the way to Macedonia.
