ZAGREB, May 24 (Hina) - A delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), led by Hans Flickenschild, commenced its two-week working visit to Croatia on Monday with the introductory talks at the Croatian National Bank (HNB). At
the meeting with the HNB Governor Marko Skreb and other HNB officials, Flickenschield stressed that the attention of the IMF delegation, during talks with Croatian representatives, would be directed to the fiscal policy and adjustments as well as to the state budget, funds, restructuring and privatisation of big state-owned companies and banks. In this regard, the initial talks at the Croatian Central Bank revolved around efforts taken with an aim to consolidate the banking system and effects produced at the state budget as well as around possible further steps in this field, the HNB said in a statement.(hina) ms
