SLAVONSKI BROD, May 17 (Hina) - Slavonski Brod-Posavina County Prefect Mirko Tomac on Monday declared the state of natural disaster for municipalities in western Slavonia which had been caught by a storm on Friday night. Commissions
for damage assessment are still in the field in the municipalities of Resetari, Staro Petrovo Selo, Nova Kapela, Oriovac and Brodski Stupnik. The storm caused most damage on houses, commercial and farming facilities, vineyards, orchards, crops and vehicles. Damage on houses and commercial facilities in the area of Lipik, a town in neighbouring Pozega County, has been estimated at about US$1.4 million.
