ZAGREB, May 13 (Hina) - Vice-presidents of the Social-Democratic Party (SDP), Zdravko Tomac and Mirjana Feric Vac, on Thursday held talks with the state secretary at the German Foreign Ministry, Guenther Verheugen, on Croatia's coming
closer to Euro-Atlantic associations, the SDP said in a statement today. The two sides agreed that approaching those associations was in the interest of Croatia's democracy since cooperation and membership in them mean the application of democratic standards which are applied in member-countries. The SDP will support any political initiative which is aimed at stabilising the situation in south-east Europe, and realistically assesses cooperation possibilities between the countries of the region, the statement said.(hina) rml
