ZAGREB, May 11 (Hina) - A delegation of Croatia's Defence Ministry, led by Minister Pavao Miljavac, on Tuesday flew to the United States of America on a three-day official visit. "This three-day official visit to the United States and
the Defence Department, at an invitation of Defence Secretary William Cohen, is the continuation of the good intensive five-year cooperation with the United States," Miljavac said prior to the departure from Zagreb. He added that he would meet U.S. State Secretary Madeleine Albright, US. special envoy for the implementation of the Dayton accords, Robert Gelbard, and other officials. The topics will be certainly developments in the region, the Kosovo issue, further military cooperation and some current political issues, Miljavac said. One of the topics will be the purchase of arms in light of U.S. President Bill Clinton's recent decision to lift an embargo on selling arms to Croatia.
