VIENNA, April 30 (Hina) - Austrian and Croatian parliamentarians held talks in Vienna on Friday about the two countries' experiences in the process of privatisation and the effect of the Kosovo crisis on Croatian economy. Chairwoman
of the Austrian Parliament Economy Committee, Ingrid Tichy-Schreder stressed the privatisation process had only recently been completed in Austria, and state companies that had been in deficit were not yielding profit. She recommended that Croatia uses the experiences of the European Union in the adoption of laws, so that it may be drawn closer to this European organisation. Croatian Parliament House of Representatives' Economy, Development and Reconstruction Committee chairman, Dragan Kovacevic, expressed gratitude to Austria for its support to Croatia in drawing closer to European associations and high direct Austrian investments into Croatian economy.(hina) lml
