Director of the Croatian Tourist Association (HTZ) Marijan Bulat on
Tuesday attended a press conference along with reporters and about
50 representatives of tourist agencies from Moravia, at which he
discussed the upcoming tourist season.
Majority of questions asked at the conference referred to the
Kosovo crisis and its impact on the Croatian tourism, as well as to
the safety of tourists visiting Croatia. Reporters also wondered
about encouragement measures Croatia had undertook to attract
foreign tour-operators and potential tourists. They were
particularly interested in prices for pre-seasonal services.
Also held in Prague last week, as part of the Croatian Tourist
offer, was the "Croatian Adriatic Night", which gathered over 400
economists and politicians from the Czech Republic.
As a result of the successful promotion of the Croatian tourism,
Czech media have been writing about Croatia more than usual.
According to Bulat, Czech President Vaclav Havel last week gave a
very positive statement, and the Czech Foreign Ministry said that
Croatia was a safe country, adding there were no obstacles to the
arrival of tourists.
