TIRANA, April 20 (Hina) - Although a refugee wave towards Albania has been discontinued in the past two days, the situation of almost 340,000 displaced Kosovars is extremely difficult, the special Albanian parliamentary commission in
charge of Kosovo refugees reported on Tuesday. There is enough food for only three out of ten persons, while almost 70,000 still lives in the open. Albania needs about US$2.5 million per day to cover expenses for the refugee care, members of the commission said and requested NATO to supervise the areas of Kukes and Has due to the very difficult humanitarian situation.(hina) it jn/ms
