DARDA, March 30 (Hina) - The eastern Croatian town Darda is the first Croatian municipality in which the International Organisation for Migrations (IOM) last year started implementing a programme aimed at providing assistance in
reconstruction and return to multi-ethnic communities. According to Darda deputy mayor Tomislav Ivic, the IOM will invest US$330,000 in the reconstruction of the municipality. The US Agency for International Development (USAID) is also participating in the programme. So far, the programme has included the reconstruction of a damaged street lighting system and the construction of another nine kilometres of the system in Darda and Ugljes. An agreement on the hand-over of a public street lighting system was signed on Monday.The construction of a community hall in Darda is underway.(hina) jn rml
