CROATIAN PARLIAMENT SUPPORTS NATO ACTION ON YUGOSLAVIA

ZAGREB, March 25 (Hina) - Representatives at the Croatian National Sabor's House of Representatives on Thursday supported NATO's action on Yugoslavia. The Lower House believe the action is the only way to conquer the Belgrade regime and the militant spirit which has been generating the crisis in the region. In a very moderate discussion, MPs said they regretted human losses, especially civilian victims, stressing though it was obviously impossible to avoid the action. The Lower House also endorsed a report by Foreign Minister Mate Granic on measures Croatia has taken regarding the NATO air strikes on Yugoslavia. "I am not happy that bombs should fall anywhere, including Serbia, but obviously it was impossible to avoid what has happened", said Luka Bebic of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ). "I mean no harm to anyone, but when it is necessary, one has to resort to force", said Djuro Perica of the HD
