ZAGREB, Mar 24 (Hina) - The Croatian Anti-War Campaign on Wednesday condemned the possibility of a NATO military intervention on the territory of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, as well as the Yugoslav government's policy. "We
advocate the rejection of violence, and especially of war, as methods of resolving conflicts among individuals, groups, and states," the Campaign said in a statement forwarded to the Croatian government and public. The Campaign believes a military intervention may only escalate the conflict in Kosovo, incite more violence, result in new human victims, and deepen the extant humanitarian crisis. The Campaign appealed to the United Nations and the European Union, as well as to certain countries, to apply political sanctions not applied to date, in the belief these would be more useful than military attacks or economic sanctions.(hina) ha
