ZAGREB, March 13 (Hina) - A Croatian delegation will take part in a conference on the protection of cultural heritage scheduled to take place in The Hague from March 14 to 26. The conference has been organised by the UNESCO, and it
should adopt new measures for protecting cultural heritage in armed conflicts, the Croatian Culture Ministry said in Zagreb on Friday. Participants at the conference will discuss UNESCO's second protocol as an addendum to the Hague Convention for the protection of cultural heritage dating from 1954. The international community would with the protocol be enabled to take additional measures to prevent the alarming destruction and loss of cultural monuments during armed conflicts. The Croatian delegation headed by Assistant Culture Minister Branka Sulc will present Croatian propositions for amendments to the second protocol, based on numerous negative experiences in applying the
