held on April 9, has been forwarded to all parties of the Croatian
National Sabor, the president of the ruling Croatian Democratic
Union (HDZ) at the Croatian National Sabor's House of
Representatives, Vladimir Seks, said on Monday evening.
Stand points on the electoral legislature will be discussed at the
meeting, Seks said and added that a report of a working group, which
was preparing the basics of the new electoral law, had been
forwarded to all parties.
He said that at least the largest parties should agree on the new
electoral law by consensus.
When asked to comment on the announced issuing of indictments
against three Croatian generals, Seks said the Sabor should not
comment on newspaper articles, including those published in the New
York Times.
He recalled that by the recently endorsed declaration of
cooperation between Croatia and the International Criminal
Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), the Sabor concluded that
neither The Hague prosecution nor the Tribunal had jurisdiction
over the "Flash" and "Storm" military and police operations.
Amendments to the Law on Government are most likely to be discussed
in the Sabor by mid April, Seks concluded.
