ZAGREB, March 4 (Hina) - At Thursday's session the Croatian Government adopted the Croatian preliminary report on the application of the European Charter on Regional or Minority Languages, the Croatian Government's Communications
Office reported. The Croatian National Parliament in October 1997 adopted a law on ratifying the Charter, making Croatia the fifth European country to ratify the European Charter. The report discussed at the Government session describes its application. The Government also adopted the second report of a working group for investigating the congruence of Croatian legislature with the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Basic Freedoms, as well as protocols. The Government has allocated ministries to implement the conclusions and recommendations, and has established an advisory committee to observe the implementation of Croatian laws with regard to the Conventio
