ZAGREB, Mar 11 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Thursday adopted a report on the tenth round of bilateral negotiations for Croatia's admission to the World Trade Organisation, the government's Communications Office said in a
statement. The closed part of today's session was presided by Premier Zlatko Matesa. The government passed a decision on collecting and using separate means for the rehabilitation of companies in difficulties. The money is to be gathered from the state budget, ministries' budgets, banks, and other sources, and will serve to grant rehabilitation loans to companies faced with financial difficulties. Also adopted were government amendments to a bill on incentives and compensation for agriculture and fishing, and to a bill on changes to the distress law. a report on the tenth round of bilateral negotiations for Croatia's
admission to the World Trade Organisation, the government's

The government passed a decision on collecting and using separate
means for the rehabilitation of companies in difficulties. The

The government reached a conclusion expressing its interest in
Council of Europe Social Development Fund loans for the financing
of projects on the reconstruction and building of utilities
infrastructure in areas of special government concern, and in
municipalities and towns accommodating a high number of displaced
persons.
The government suggested the President of the Republic confirm the
election of Branimir Glavas as prefect of Osijek-Baranja County.
Mario Kezic has been relieved of duty as assistant culture
minister, and Miljenko Domijan has been appointed to his post.
Franjo Antun Blazevic has been appointed assistant privatisation
minister.
The government confirmed the choice of the Dresdner Kleinwort
Benson bank as financial advisor in the privatisation of the
Croatian Telecommunications company.
Finance Minister Borislav Skegro spoke to reporters about the
procedure applied in choosing the advisor bank which he said
consisted of three stages.
Fourteen foreign banks applied for the bid for tenders in the first
stage, while only two remained in the final one - the Dresdner bank
and the Credit Suisse First Boston bank.
An agreement with the bank will be signed by Privatisation Minister
Milan Kovac.
