ZAGREB, March 2 (Hina) - Some reporters believe they are autonomous in their job and under no editing policy, although Croatian Television (HTV) adopted a code on journalistic conduct, according to which reporters have to abide by the
principles of objectivity and hierarchy, HTV spokesman Kresimir Macan said on Tuesday evening. Macan was responding to a statement issued today by the editors of the "1+1" show, saying their Monday show had been shortened and significantly changed without their knowledge. They said they did not know how this came about nor who authorised the changes. Editors of the show - Tihomir Ladisic, Branko Lentic and Dubravko Merlic, said this was for them a shocking and astonishing occurrence.
