SPLIT, Feb 26 (Hina) - Adriatic Television (ATV), a local station from the southern Croatian port of Split, was on Friday granted permission from the Croatian Transport and Communications Ministry to resume airing after a recent
interruption due to unsettled debts. According to ATV director Andjelko Gabric, the station will resume airing on Monday, March 1. ATV broadcasts were interrupted on January 29 due to unsettled concession and transmission fees totalling US$32,000. Croatian opposition parties said the broadcast interruption was a suppression of media freedoms.
