SARAJEVO, Feb 26 (Hina) - The Independent Media Commission (IMC) in Bosnia-Herzegovina on Friday granted first six work permits to radio stations which sent in their applications before the deadline. The IMC decided to extend the
deadline for license applications until March 31, because several broadcasters did not receive application forms on time. The IMC reported it took punitive measures against media which violated rules of objective and professional reporting. Croat Radio Mostar was fined with 600 convertible marks, the Pale television station "Kanal S" with 1,500 convertible marks and Banja Luka's "Sveti Djordje" with 1,000 convertible marks. Special warnings were forwarded to Radio Srpsko Sarajevo, TV Bjeljina, Radio Vlasenica, and TV "Studio 99" from Sarajevo.(hina) it jn/lml
