had been ousted from his post by the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party. "My dismissal was not the decision of my bosses, but rather a political decision by senior officials of the HDZ," Loncar stressed. Re recalled several senior officials of the ruling party had stated he had hosted the show tendentiously and unprofessionally, showing only catastrophic agricultural examples. Mirko Galic, former member of the Croatian Radio and Television's
(HRT) Council, said the dismissal of Ivo Loncar was the main reason
for his recent resignation.
President of the Croatian Journalists' Society, Jagoda Vukusic,
resigned Monday from her membership in the HRT Council in support to
Loncar.
