PRISTINA DAILY: PEACE IS PROCESS - NOT EVENT

PRISTINA, Feb 24 (Hina) - Peace is a process, not an event, the Kosovo daily in Albanian "Koha Ditore" commented on peace negotiations in Rambouillete on Wednesday. According to the daily, the Kosovo Albanian delegation at the talks said "yes" to the peace agreement, and the Albanians would also participate in the continuation of the conference on March 15. A Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) spokesman and member of the delegation, Jakub Krasniqi, told "Koha Ditore" that the document, which was negotiated in Rambouillete, would be presented to experts, intellectuals and other representatives of Kosovo Albanians. Another Pristina's daily in Albanian, "Kosova Sot", published a statement by the head of the Kosovo delegation, Hashim Thaqi, which read that he would only sign an agreement which was previously endorsed by Kosovo people. Pristina's daily in Serbian, "Jedinstvo", accused the Albanian delegation of postponing the final solution. According to "Jedinstvo", in 1997 Hashim Thaqi was sentenced to 10 years in prison for participating in a terrorist attack on a member of the Serbian Interior Ministry.
